Lab-grown diamond engagement rings have become a popular choice for couples looking for an ethical, budget-friendly, and high-quality alternative to mined diamonds.
A gold solitaire diamond ring is a timeless and elegant piece of jewelry. Typically, it features a single diamond set on a gold band, showcasing the beauty of the diamond as the focal point. The band can be made of different types of gold, such as:
Yellow Gold: Classic and warm, often associated with traditional styles.
White Gold: A sleek, modern option with a shiny, silvery appearance.
Rose Gold: A trendy and romantic style with a pinkish hue.
The diamond is usually the main attraction, and it’s often cut in shapes like round, princess, cushion, or emerald, with the cut affecting the diamond’s brilliance and sparkle. This type of ring is popular for engagements but can also be worn as a statement piece for various occasions.
A platinum solitaire diamond ring is a classic and elegant piece of jewelry that typically features a single diamond set in a platinum band. Platinum is known for its durability and naturally white shine, which complements the brilliance of a diamond perfectly. This type of ring is often chosen for engagement rings due to its timeless appeal and high-quality materials.
Here are some key aspects to consider:
Diamond Quality: The diamond is typically graded based on the 4 Cs: Carat weight, Cut, Clarity, and Color. A high-quality diamond will have a good balance of these factors.
Setting Style: The solitaire setting focuses the attention on the single diamond. Popular settings for solitaire diamonds include prong, bezel, and tension settings, with prong being the most traditional.
Platinum Band: Platinum is highly resistant to tarnish and hypoallergenic, making it ideal for long-term wear. It’s also heavier than white gold, giving it a substantial feel.
Customization: Many jewelers offer customization options, such as selecting the specific diamond or designing the setting to your liking.

Ring Size Guide

Using an Existing Ring
- Choose a ring that already fits your finger well.
- Measure the inner diameter of the ring in millimeters (mm).
- Use the measurement given below to match the size of your ring to the closest Tanishq size in mm.

THE HANDS-ON APPROACH
- Get a measuring tape, string or strip of paper.
- Wrap it around the finger you’ll wear your ring on.
- Using a pen or marker, mark where the ends meet.
- Lay your string or paper strip on a flat surface and use a ruler to measure the length in millimeters (mm).
This is the circumference of your ring. - Use the chart given below to map this circumference to the diameter. The mapped diameter is your ring size. Use it to buy your chosen ring online at Zosimos.
FOR BEST RESULTS
- Measure during the end of the day, as your finger may be at its largest.

Confirm Printer settings
This guide is only accurate if printed properly. Follow these instructions to set up your printer correctly.
- Print only on A4 paper, and access printing settings by pressing CTRL + P (Command + P on Mac) and making sure that your page scaling is set to 100%.
DO NOT print with fit to screen option, it will not print accurately. - Take a ruler and measure the left bar, it must be exactly 3 cm.

How to measure current Ring Size
- Find the ring you want to measure and place it on one of the circles below.
- Match the dotted circle to the inside of the ring, making it fit perfectly in line.
- Ensure that the dotted line matches the inside of the ring; there should be no gap between the dotted line and the inside of the ring at any point.
Planning a secret proposal takes a lot of patience and skill. Finding out your partner’s ring size is about using a lot of different tools and techniques in order to make sure it’s ready for the special day. Don’t worry; sizing your partner’s ring is something you don’t have to do alone as there’s plenty of assistance along the way.
Option 1: Measuring in Secret
If you are planning a surprise proposal, then measuring the ring without your partner knowing is both fun and challenging. If they already own any rings, then all you need to do is quickly borrow a ring while they’re distracted and using a pencil and paper, trace one circle on the inside (diameter) of the ring and another circle on the outside (circumference) of the ring. Do it a few times if time allows (and try with other rings) to double check that your measurements are correct.
Option 2: Ask help from others
Asking your partner’s parents, or their best friends is a great starting point! Get their friends and family to casually try on some inexpensive rings in order to get a rough idea of what the ring size might be. Combining this approach with a measuring table means you’ll have a much better time of getting the ring size correct. You can come to our stores to talk about finding the right ring size as well as browse our samples in order to pick the ring.
What if the Ring doesn’t fit?
Plenty of people don’t get the size exactly right on the first time and therefore there’s no need to panic; it happens all the time. It’s just a simple case of sending the ring off for a resize in order to get the perfect fit. We offer a free one time ring re-sizing service for most products bought from us, covered for 14 days from dispatch (and only if the ring is unused and is still in pristine condition.)
Note: Full eternity rings, as well as bespoke items, cannot be resized, owing to the complexity of the designs.
